Topaz Elements at OUHSC is used for:

  • IACUC and IBC Protocol Development and Submission
  • Census Tracking and Management
  • Placing Animal Orders
  •  Billing for Animal Orders and Census Per Diem
  • Viewing Invoices

How to Access Topaz Elements

Accessing TOPAZ Elements - IBC and IACUC Modules Only

If you are accessing the IBC or IACUC Protocol Modules only, you can use any modern browser (Safari, Chrome, Microsoft Edge)

Accessing TOPAZ Elements - Dashboard, Billing, and Animal Ordering Modules

To view your Dashboard, Billing, and/or Animal Orders, TOPAZ Elements requires Silverlight to be installed.

If you are off campus, you may need to connect to (Global Protect) VPN first.

PC Users (Option 1)

Internet Explorer End of Life Notice - The Internet Explorer (IE) 11 desktop application will end support for Windows 10 starting June 15, 2022. Users of Internet Explorer are encouraged to move to Microsoft Edge with IE mode. IE mode enables backward compatibility and will be supported through at least 2029.

MAC and PC Users (Option 2)
 
 

TOPAZ Elements User Access Request

  • New User

    If you are a new user and need to create an initial/new TOPAZ Elements account, please click here to fill out the TOPAZ Elements Access Form

  • Add New Bill-To or Per-Diem Account for Animal Orders:

    If you are trying to place an Animal Order and need to add a new bill-to account or per-diem account  in TOPAZ Elements animal order form, please click here.

  • You are an account Billing Administrator and you need to access an invoice:

    If you are a billing administrator, and you need access to an invoice, please email compmedhousingrequests@ouhsc.edu with your account information.  If you are a new user and need billing access, please fill out the "new user" form above.            

  • You need to be "authorized to order animals" on a protocol:

    If you need to be authorized to order animals on a protocol, the PI must request this, through the IACUC, with an administrative ammendment. Please have your PI contact the IACUC at IACUC@ouhsc.edu
